So, I recently found myself at Village Indiya Restaurant in Grays. Tucked away on Lodge Lane, this cozy Indian spot caught my eye. Honestly, it’s been hailed as the best Indian restaurant in Essex, and I was itching to see if it lived up to that hype.
I strolled in on a Saturday night, and wow, it was buzzing! The atmosphere? Electric! Every table was packed, which could feel a bit cramped, but the energy was infectious. Waiters zipped around like pros, bringing out poppadoms and dips lickety-split.
Now, about the food—delicious is an understatement. I went for the Tandoori mixed grill, and it was a feast! Seriously, I’ve had my fair share of Indian food, but this place reset my expectations. Portion sizes were solid. We left the table like three happy campers.
